ClickX Dual Core Pedicle Screw
The new ClickX Dual Core Pedicle Screws are available in the following diameters: 5.2mm, 6.2mm, 7.0mm, 8.0mm, 9.0mm. The last two diameters are thought to serve as emergency/revision screws or for sacral fixations.
Features:
- constant outer diameter
- smaller core diameter in the distal part >optimal purchase in cancellous bone
- short conical transition to larger core diameter in the proximal part > minimal loss of grip in case of turning back of the screw
- larger core diameter in the proximal part > optimal purchase in the pedicle
- round tip > no danger for segmental vessels in the case of bicortical fixation
- double thread starting at the tip > immediate purchase of the thread, fast insertion
Indications for the new ClickX Dual Core Pedicle Screws are the same as for the well known cylindrical ClickX Pedicle Screws in the lower thoracic and the lumbar spine:
- Degenerative instabilities
- Instabilities following decompression
- Tumours without anterior defect
- Fractures without loss of ventral support
Deformities, fractures and tumors which primarily effect the anterior column should not be treated in the first step with the ClickX Dual Core Pedicle Screw. However, an additional posterior fixation after anterior stabilization might be suitable.
Extraction instruments for damaged ClickX Locking Caps
The Extraction instruments for damaged ClickX Locking Caps enable removal of a damaged hex-drive ClickX locking cap. With the clamping mechanism of the extractor the locking cap is firmly held and can easily be removed.
