The best of Craniomaxillofacial Trauma & Reconstruction (CMTR) in 2023

CMTR

As the year is drawing to a close, it is time to recognize the 2023 top articles and the most important developments of AO CMF’s official scientific peer-reviewed publication, Craniomaxillofacial Trauma & Reconstruction journal (CMTR). The quarterly CMTR continues to thrive and publish primary and review articles covering all aspects of surgery of the Craniomaxillofacial field. CMTR’s growing readership includes specialists working in ophthalmology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, dentistry, facial plastic surgery and trauma surgery.

CMTR is devoted to the study and treatment of craniomaxillofacial conditions, including diagnosis, operative and non-operative treatment options, surgical techniques, emerging research, evidence-based therapy, and clinical developments. The journal is indexed in PubMed Central (PMC) and Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). The journal received its first Impact Factor in April this year, currently 0.9, and the aim is to keep growing. With a multi-disciplinary scope, CMTR features original research, reviews, commentaries, editorials, and technical reports pertinent to all specialties practicing craniomaxillofacial surgery.

The success of the journal relies on its readers, authors, and reviewers and their support, which continues to strengthen AO CMF’s multi-specialty community of specialists working in ophthalmology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, dentistry, facial plastic surgery and trauma surgery.
