AO Surgery Reference unveils new periprosthetic knee content

Two years in the making and enriched with 600 illustrations over 141 pages, the AO Surgery Reference recently launched knee module for periprosthetic fractures to complement the previously published hip module. It is the only online resource of its kind in the world.

The award-winning AO Surgery Reference has released its new module covering periprosthetic knee fractures —a topic of great interest to reconstructive surgeons, including those in the AO Recon network. The new module was spearheaded by Executive Editor Michael Baumgaertner with authors/experts Michael Huo, Michael Leslie, and Iain McFadyen. Baumgaertner, an AO Trauma faculty member and chairperson of the AO Trauma International Board, said the new module “should be the first resource to employ when injured patients with this fracture present.”
