Robert Hube

Germany

Robert Hube is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Charité Berlin and the Head of the Center of Joint Replacement of the OCM/SANA Campus in Munich where he specializes in minimal invasive surgery, both of the hip and knee, and revision surgery. He completed fellowships in Germany, South Africa and the US and is the current President of the German Knee Society. He is also involved in diverse European hip and knee societies and reviews for certain international orthopedic journals.


Michael H Huo

Prof Michael Huo is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the UT Southwestern Medical Center where he is faculty for more than a decade. He is a member of the AAOS, The Hip Society, and The International Hip Society and was on the Board of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He reviews for the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, the Journal of Arthroplasty, and the Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research.

Sébastien Lustig MD, PhD is a hip and knee reconstructive surgeon and professor of Orthopedics Surgery at Lyon North University Hospital in Lyon, France. Performing over 800 knee and hip arthroplasties per year and having published over 300 research papers, he is Chair of the Orthopaedic Department, Director of the Orthopaedic program at Lyon University and board member of the European Knee Society and vice president of the French hip and Knee Society. He is also Deputy Editor of The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery American. He has a special interest in rapid recovery, revision surgery, infection, robotic assisted surgery and digital orthopedics.

Prof Bas Masri is Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of British Columbia, and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at Vancouver Acute (Vancouver General and University Hospitals). He is past president of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association, as well as a member of the Knee Society and the Hip Society.

Philipp von Roth

Dr Philipp von Roth joined the Sportopaedicum Regensburg in 2018 where he specializes in primary and revision knee arthroplasty. He brings great experience in the field of degenerative disorders of the knee joint from his work at the Charité Berlin, most recently as Head of the knee arthroplasty department. His research fellowship in Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA was another milestone. Dr von Roth is an Associate Professor and much in demand as an international speaker. He published more than 60 scientific papers.

Yves Acklin is an Associate Professor at the University of Basel and Site Director of the University of Basel Orthopaedic Clinic at Bethesda Hospital. He is specialized and fellowship-trained in Canada in knee primary and revision arthroplasty, sports medicine and trauma surgery. He graduated with an EMBA HSG from the University St. Gallen.


Karl Stoffel

Prof Stoffel is the team leader of the hip and pelvis division at the University Hospital of Basel. He specializes in joint-preserving hip and pelvic surgery including hip arthroscopy, corrective osteotomies and minimal invasive primary and revision total joint arthroplasty. He has more than 60 peer-reviewed publications on trauma and arthroplasty.

Paul E Beaulé

Canada

Prof Paul E. Beaulé is a Professor of Surgery and Head of the Division of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Ottawa. He specializes in joint preservation and minimally invasive hip surgery. Prof Beaulé recently published his second book, "Hip Dysplasia: Understanding and Treating Instability of the Native Hip." He has given more than 200 lectures and workshops in several areas in orthopedic research.


Michael Dienst

Prof Michael Dienst is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic/open joint preservation and reconstructive surgery of the hip, at the OCM Orthopedic Surgery in Munich, Germany. He is a professor at the University Hospital, Homburg/Saar in Germany, and an instructor for German and North American Arthroscopy Associations and is a founding member and the current President of the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy.


George Grammatopoulos

THE OTTAWA HOSPITAL

Dr George Grammatopoulos specializes in joint preserving surgery of the hip, primary and revision arthroplasty of the hip and knee, and orthopedic trauma surgery. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa and an orthopedic surgeon at The Ottawa Hospital. He completed his training at the Nuffield Orthopedic Centre in Oxford. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Orthopedic Research Society Kappa Delta Award and various other hip society awards. He has published over 70 refereed papers and presented over 100 times in national and international meetings.

 

Moritz Tannast

Prof Moritz Tannast teaches orthopedic surgery at the University of Fribourg and is chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Cantonal Hospital in Fribourg, Switzerland. His clinical practice focuses on all aspects of hip and pelvic surgery including minimally invasive total hip arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty, joint-preserving hip surgery and, pelvic and acetabular trauma.

Matthieu Ollivier

France

Prof Matthieu Ollivier graduated with his MD and Ph.D. at Aix-Marseille University, followed by a post-graduate fellowship at Rochester’s Mayo Clinic. His orthopedic training was done at Aix-Marseille University and Versailles Hospital. He is Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Institute of Movement and Locomotion in Marseille and has a practice dedicated to knee-related procedures, with a special focus on sports injuries and osteotomies.


Sam Oussedik

Dr Sam Oussedik is a trauma and orthopedic consultant with multiple practices. He is the Clinical Director of Trauma and Orthopedic Surgery at the University College Hospital London. He specializes in knee surgery for both sports injuries and degenerative conditions, as well as all forms of trauma surgery. Along with Prof Sebastien Lustig, he published a book on osteotomies around the knee and co-edited two books on knee replacement. Currently, he acts as a specialty editor for knee surgery for The Bone and Joint Journal.


Paul J Favorito

Dr Favorito is a fellowship-trained, board certified orthopedic surgeon with international expertise. He is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. His areas of interest include arthroscopic, open and revision shoulder surgery as well as shoulder arthroplasty, reconstruction and fracture management.


Chunyan Jiang

Dr Chunyan Jiang is Professor of the Beijing Ji Shui Tan Hospital and a teaching professor at the Beijing School of Medicine. He is one of the founders of Chinese Shoulder and Elbow Society and the foreign corresponding member of American Shoulder Elbow Surgeons (ASES). He took a shoulder fellowship with Prof Evan Flatow at Mt. Sinai Hospital New York and is well-known as an elite shoulder surgeon in China.


Simon Lambert

Dr Lambert is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University College London Hospital responsible for complex and revision reconstruction of difficult conditions of the shoulder and elbow. Simon has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and 20 book chapters. Simon is Chairman of the UEGEC, founding Advisory Board member of the OSApp, Editorial Board member of the ICUC, and serves on the Editorial College of AO Surgery Reference. Simon has engaged with AO Global Data seeking improved ways of assessing functional decrements and achievements in response to intervention.


Stefaan Nijs

Prof Stefaan Nijs has been the Chairman of Trauma Centre at the University Hospital of Leuven, one of the largest hospitals in Belgium, since 2013. A trauma surgeon, he is President of the Belgian Trauma Society and is a member of the board of the European Trauma Society since 2003. His specialist areas of clinical expertise are the shoulder, elbow and wrist, and he has played a major role in the development of a shoulder fracture prosthesis.

Prof Markus Scheibel is the chairman at Schulthess Clinic in Zuerich, Switzerland and Visiting Professor at the Charité. He is also the president of the German Association for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (DVSE).


Vincenzo Giordano

Dr Vincenzo received his medical degree from the Medical School - Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery training at Hospital São Zacarias, Rio de Janeiro, and at Division of Orthopaedic Trauma - University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA). He specializes in the treatment of pelvic and acetabular injuries, articular fractures and post-traumatic reconstruction. Dr Vincenzo has a special interest in basic research on orthopaedic trauma. He works in a Level-I Trauma Center in Rio de Janeiro, Serviço de Ortopedia e Traumatologia Prof. Nova Monteiro - Hospital Municipal Miguel Couto since 1994.

Gijs G van Hellemondt

Dr Gijs van Hellemondt is an orthopedic surgeon at Sint Maartenskliniek Nijmegen since 1996. He is subspecialized in adult knee and hip reconstruction and is involved in various societies including the Dutch Knee Society and the European Knee Society (EKS). Dr Hellemondt also contributes reviews to the ESSKA Journal, the Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica and the Bone & Joint Journal.

Prof Zagra is the Head of the Hip Department at IRCCS Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute, Milan, Immediate Past President of the Società Italiana dell’Anca, Past President of the European Hip Society, member of the Executive Committee of EFORT, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of EHS, member of the International Hip Society and of the International Committee of AAHKS. As a high-volume orthopedic surgeon, he focuses on complex total hip and knee arthroplasty.
